Today our Vizionaries learned banking basics such as opening a bank account, credit, savings and identity theft! Our Vizionaries did a great job interacting during the session and learned a lot! “OTV Goes Virtual”!
A new program that will allow us to continue working and connecting with our Vizionaries during these different times. The1st event was Friday, April 6th from 6-7pm. Our guest speakers were Award winning Journalist Hannah Joy Gebresilassie and Former Division 1 Men’s Basketball Coach Lewis Preston. We are so happy that we will still have the opportunity to continue exposing our Vizionaries to different possibilities. Thank you to all who believe and support Optimize The Vizion as we continue to serve the needs of our Vizionaries!

To say that today was amazing is an understatement! Optimize The Vizion Corporation is a phenomenal organization that I’m so honored to serve on the board. The founder, Emmanuel Glaze, provided another game changing opportunity for the ‘vizionaries’ today. Imagine being in middle school and able to not only attend the Kennesaw State University basketball games today, but to also learn from the Athletic Director, Milton Overton! Milton inspired these future leaders and provided great success strategies! My heart is full! Look at our future leaders! #optimizethevizion #kennesawstateuniversity #futureleaders

Before the new normal
It’s Friday evening April 24th and we catch up Keith Lewis Jr via Zoom (the new normal) at Yung Joc’s restaurant “South Beach”. As Keith enjoys a much deserved break and meal he multitasks to tell us all about whats been going on with “I’m A Father F1RST” and the new initiative “Meals for Love” that is feeding families all over Metro Atlanta. But before we get too deep into that let’s take things back to beginning of the “I’m A Father F1RST” movement.
After a tough divorce some years ago and the toll that long distance parenting took on Keith he realized one thing that was above all else in his life and that’s he is a Father F1RST! I’m A Father F1RST was then started by Keith and his longtime childhood friend Jermaine Clark. The focus of I’m A Father F1RST is to serve local youth and redefine fatherhood while uplifting families and reducing the number of fatherless homes. I’m A Father F1RST has many prominent advocates including the likes of “Sean Elliott “ father of star running Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys, and “Odell Beckman Sr” father of Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckman Jr.
Fast forward to 2020 and the COVID19 pandemic, with many of the great things that I’m Father F1RST does to impact the community such as The Father F1RST barbershop, sports camps and clinics the nonprofit was forced to make a pivot. Which birthed “Meals for Love”! I’m A Father F1RST partnered with Frederica Sator of “Simplee Amazing Catering to kick off the program. With the COVID pandemic like many other food related businesses Simplee Amazing Catering was deeply affected and was now sitting on large inventory of food with no consumers to feed. So this was a perfect marriage. Meals of Love started out in March feeding more than 50 families, reaching more than 500 people. In April with partnerships of rapper Yung Joc, who’s “South Beach” restaurant now serves as the hub for “Meals of Love”, Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Meria Carstarphen who donated a grant of $25,000, Mercedes Benz USA that donated three Sprinter Vans, T-Mobile that generously donated $10,000, and GA Senator Kelly Loeflerr and Husband Jeff Sprecher, the chairman of the NYSE donated $1 million dollars “Meals of Love” will now deliver up to 700 meals and week, and “I’m A Father F1RST” kicked off their Scholarship Fund awarding four students from Best Academy in Atlanta with scholarships!
